This 4-week course will be held via zoom on Thursdays from April 4th - 25th, 8:30 - 10 pm ET. Expect classes to include a brief lecture plus group reflections & activities to dive deeper in the material. We will explore:

  • The rich history and heritage of Ayurveda. By honoring its origins and understanding its roots, you'll realize its principles and apply them more effectively in your modern world.

  • The essential components of your energetic makeup, including your prakruti, vikruti, and dosha. We’ll gain insight into your innate constitution and current imbalances, and establish your center of balance, or “ground zero,” so that you may return to it with ease.

  • The subtle qualities that shape your mental and emotional landscape and learn how the interplay of gunas influences your daily experiences and guides your path to health.

  • The 3 main channels of our subtle body and the corresponding 3 states of mind.

Lydia, a native of the Pacific Northwest, discovered her profound connection to yoga in the vibrant city of Guadalajara, Mexico, where she cultivated a dedicated asana practice. Delving into the depths of yogic philosophy, Lydia realized that yoga transcends mere physical postures, unfolding as a holistic journey of mind, body, and spirit. Fueled by a deep desire to learn, she pursued multiple trainings in yoga, meditation, ayurveda, and energy work. Applying these ancient teachings transformed Lydia's life, liberating her from the constraints of a corporate job. Today, she passionately serves as a Project Champion at the Yoga Studies Institute, sharing her love for yoga and philosophy.     Do I need to attend all the classes live? Nope! While we certainly prefer your presence because...yay concrete humans together in time/space, we understand the complexity of modern and multiple time zone life. Recordings will be available within 48 hrs for your convenience.

  • Can I drop into a class or two?

    This course is offered as a series, rather than as individual classes. Sign up for the whole thing and take it on your pace with recordings & supplemental materials.

  • What should I bring to prepare?

    A well-rested body and mind and undistracted time to be fully present as you take the course. A very comfortable chair and/or meditation cushion. Old fashioned paper and writing utensils.
